Whatever Gets You Through The Night (Arches Theatre Production) - Album Now Available
Last week was the first opportunity I’ve had to take to the stage as part of a theatre production since playing Gretl in my High School production of The Sound Of Music, during which I forgot to take my prop on stage almost every night.
This time round, I was taking part in Cora Bissett’s much anticipated new production Whatever Gets You Through The Night at the Arches which was a multi-media affair composed of new music and prose commissioned across Scotland, and quite breathtaking dance and set pieces performed by various dancers & actors.
The music written for the show has been made available as a downloadable album which can be found for sale here, and includes the track I wrote and recorded for the show called ‘Dark Skies’. Also available on the same website is the beautiful book that was designed to accompany the show with many of the lyrics and written pieces included, as well as some wonderful photography detailing the making of the production.
A film was also made documenting the development of this many headed beast. This film, currently being finished, will be shown at Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival at Summerhall later this year.
