Scottish Mental Health Arts & Film Festival 2009
After a fantastic Scottish Mental Health Foundation Festival last October, which I was happily asked to contribute to, I’m very excited to once again be involved this year.
Karine Polwart and I have put together a show on the 1st October to be held at The Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow as part of the festival’s Music Like A Vitamin events. As well as Karine and I playing our own solo sets, we’ll also be joined by Alasdair Roberts and James Yorkston, with James performing the songs of Daniel Johnston with Dublin’s Adrian Crowley, who incidentally, is releasing his next record on Chemikal Underground later this year. It’s looking like a pretty fabulous bill and I really hope many of you will be available to come along. Tickets will only be £5 so bring a coach load…
Rod Jones has also been busy putting together another Music Like A Vitamin night in Edinburgh and you can find details of both of these nights at the festival website.
