Summer Sundae and Field Day Festivals 8th and 9th August
This weekend I’ll be playing with the band at the Summer Sundae Festival in Leicester (Friday) and then the Field Day Festival in Hackney, London (Saturday). There are 2 gigs at Summer Sundae actually – one with Kenny Anderson of King Creosote in the Phrased and Confused tent at 3.30pm and myself with the band on the Indoor Stage at 5.40pm. The Phrased and Confused Tent is in connection with the arts project of the same name which Jamie and I got involved with in October 2006. It aims to bring together poetry and music. I hope to play the song ‘A Glorious Day’ that I wrote with the poet Brendan Cleary during the Phrased and Confused tour. Kenny and I plan to play a few songs together from our Burnsong Songhouse experience that also took place in 2006.
The Field Day gig will be sometime in the early afternoon on the Saturday.
